Kings Right Winger, Adam Deadmarsh, recently returned to Los Angeles to take part in a commercial shoot for DirecTV. Along with Joe Thornton from the Boston Bruins, Adam will be a spokesperson for the NHL Center Ice Campaign. Lakings.com caught up with the popular winger in between takes on the set.

LAK: How's the recovery process going?
AD: I'm not back to 100% yet but things are going well. The healing is progressing and I'm happy about that. I had some problems with my neck but the doctors feel I'll be back to 100% before training camp.

LAK: What are you doing here today?
AD: I'm helping DirecTV out with their NHL Center Ice Campaign. I'm doing some commercials and some promotion for the Center Ice programming. The day is half-over and it has gone pretty smooth so far.

LAK: Are you and Joe Thornton the new spokespeople for DirecTV?
AD: Joe will be the east coast person. They are planning on airing his stuff in the east and my stuff out west.

LAK: Do you have DirecTV?
AD: I don't - but I'm getting it now. I don't usually watch games. I'll watch something else during the year (laughs)

LAK: How many takes have you done so far today?
AD: There's been lots of takes. I really don't have much for lines. They ask me questions about childhood, growing up and that stuff like that. There have been no real set lines yet so it hasn't been that tough.

LAK: Is this the start of a Hollywood career for #28?
AD: I don't know if any directors will be beating on my door after this – that’s for sure.

LAK: You have no desire to star in any action/adventure movies?
AD: Only if I don't have to talk - then I should be fine.

LAK: You are also the first King to be sporting the new home sweater.

AD: I like the logo - it's simpler. I like the clean look of this without the clutter.

LAK: Are you enjoying being back home in Trail, British Columbia?
AD: Yeah, we've been back home for about a month and are pretty much settled. It's a lot of work now trying to get settled with the girls. We had to move all their stuff and get them all set up with their cribs. Once we got that set it up it's been pretty smooth. I love going back in the summers to visit family and friends and relax for a bit as I get ready for another season.

LAK: Any outdoor activities planned?
AD: I do a bit of fishing. I'll golf a little bit but I'm looking forward to spending times with the kids this summer. Obviously they weren't too active last summer as they were pretty small but now they're up and running around so it should be fun. They are really curious about a lot of things right now.
